About Us

For responsible fishing and a healthy marine ecosystem.

We are an Ecuadorian company, pioneers in the research, development, and innovation of ecological and biodegradable materials for the design, manufacture, and commercialization of Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs).

Our ecological FADs aim to drastically reduce environmental impact, minimizing the bycatch of other marine species through the use of 100% organic raw materials.

Fair Trade

Corporate Social Responsibility

For the supply of materials, we base our operations on fair trade principles, prioritizing small producers in agricultural areas of the country. For the spinning, weaving, and rope-making processes, we seek to generate employment in indigenous communities in the central highlands of Ecuador.

EcoFADtory's standard is capacity building in our country, which is part of the corporate social responsibility principles that govern us.

Materials of Excellence

100% Organic and Biodegradable

Abaca Fiber

Our threads, ropes, and woven meshes use abaca fiber, known for its extreme resistance to the aggressive marine environment without polluting.

Bamboo (Guadua) & Balsa

Guaranteed natural buoyancy. Materials that return to nature once their useful life is over, avoiding the use of traditional plastics.

High Effectiveness

Subjected to real tests by tuna boat captains, offering exceptional durability and a large amount of aggregated fish.

Durability tests on the high seas

Quality Guarantee

Real Tests on the High Seas

Our fish aggregating devices (FADs) are rigorously evaluated in real oceanic conditions. We personally validate the materials at sea to ensure their dynamic behavior and resistance.

The captains of the tuna fleet certify their exceptional durability, ensuring high aggregation effectiveness with minimal environmental impact on other species.
